So. Cal Geobiology symposium 2023

Hosted at UC Santa Barbara, on April 29th, 2023, the Southern California Geobiology meeting is an old tradition going back nearly two decades in the area. This is the first time the symposium was hosted outside of the big three schools (Caltech, USC, UCLA) that started it. Needless to say, the Santa Barbara campus, located just meters from wild flower bloom-covered beach cliffs, was stunning. As expected, the talks covered it all: from the great oxidation event to last glacial maximum ocean productivity reconstructions. Our lab, in a show of force for Cal State LA, presented 4 posters.
