Read about Dr. Ramírez’ Summer 2023 adventures as a member of the Schmidt Ocean Institute’s Octopus Odyssey Expedition. This expedition embarked on the amazing Research Vessel Falkor too, carrying, the Remotely Operated Submarine Subastian, and sailed to the open Pacific Ocean off the beautiful Costa Rican coast to study how hydrothermal venting and microbes may affect majestic deep-sea Octopus and their seamount ecosystems.
